Time Warp 2018: Ten Mixes To Get You Rave Ready

Time Warp DE 2020

Time Warp DE 2020

Mannheim, Germania

German techno powerhouse Time Warp is now just a few days away, when it'll be back in Mannheim for a 19-hour party with the likes of Ben Klock, Adam Beyer and Nina Kraviz.

Essentially a who's who of the hottest names in techno, the night is a chance to be a part of one of the world's most prestigious dance parties.

And as we begin to count down the hours, we've taken a dive into the extensive lineup and pulled out ten mixes, getting you ready in the only way we know how.

Ben Klock: BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix

Berghain's master of the main room has been resident at the iconic Berlin club since it first opened its doors in 2004.

His mixes are a rare insight into the sound that permeates within the four walls of the enigmatic venue.

Nina Kraviz: Awakenings Eindhoven

The Siberian-born DJ and producer has become famed for her idiosyncratic sets that dare to go where many won't.

Now a regular at major clubs around the world, here she is tearing up Awakenings Eindhoven back in January of this year.

Adam Beyer: Space

Once one of Ibiza's most famous party spots, Space's absence has no doubt left a hole in the island's music scene.

But before it bid farewell, Drumcode founder Adam Beyer played a special set as part of Carl Cox's residency. Here is an hour from it.

Rødhåd: Amsterdam Dance Event

The proclaimed Berlin Dark Lord is no stranger to marathon sets inside the city's legendary Berghain nightclub. His deep, hypnotic and industrial style has made him one of techno's most in-demand names.

Here he captivated Amsterdam's Gashouder as part of Ben Klock's Photon night at this year's ADE.

Seth Troxler: fabric

Seth's influences include "the chirping of crickets, the whirring of space ships, and the sweet sounds of whistling voodoo magic", reads his RA page.

Such eccentricity is indicative of the man who rarely ever seems serious. And his sets are the same. Here he is grooving live at fabric back in 2015.

Nastia: DC10

Turning her back on producing, Nastia's real strength lies in her mixing. Her on-point selection has made her one of techno's foremost female DJs, taking her to esteemed clubs around the world.

And back in 2016 she worked the legendary DC10 main room up into a frenzy.

Konstantin Sibold: Red Light Radio

A resident of Stuttgart's Rocker 33 club, Konstantin Sibold's sets have become famed for their diversity, diving from techno and house to EBM, acid and even a dashing of indie.

In 2017 he took over the controls of Amsterdam's Red Light Radio for an hour that showed off just why he's so highly regarded.

Monika Kruse: HYTE Berlin NYE

One of techno's most beloved and enduring artists, Monika Kruse was at the forefront of German dance culture in the early 90s, organising raves in abandoned Munich bomb shelters.

And her experience, passion and dedication to the scene is reflective in her sets, moulded in a way that only someone who's been in the game that long could do.

Ricardo Villalobos & Luciano: Love Parade

Minimal techno and microhouse icon Ricardo Villalobos went back to back with fellow Chilean Luciano to unleash a racey set on the thousands of people who lined the streets around Berlin's Victory Column.

Dixon: Boiler Room

For someone who steers well clear of mainstream releases, puts out no mixes of his own, nor can you find many of his sets recorded, Dixon has become one of the most in-demand DJs, topping RA's Top DJ Poll for four year's in a row.

Let's just let his 2006 Berlin Boiler Room give us an idea of why...

Time Warp will take place on 7 April 2018. Find out more on our guide, and book your trip to the event here.
