Reading Festival and Leeds Festival are now two of the UK's most famous music festivals. Held each August bank holiday, the pair are a rite of passage for young festival-goers while also having showcased a remarkable list of artists over the past decades, including Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, The Rolling Stones, The Who and Fleetwood Mac.

But what about the lineup for 2020? How do you get tickets? We've put together a list of everything you need to know about Reading and Leeds Festivals 2020.


When are Reading and Leeds Festivals 2020?

Reading and Leeds Festivals will take place on 27th to 30th August 2020, which is the August bank holiday weekend.

What's the Reading and Leeds Festivals 2020 lineup?

 

StormzyRage Against the Machine and Liam Gallagher the top of the bill for legendary twin festivals.

The trio will be joined on the lineup by the likes of Atlanta rap trio Migos, UK indie fan-favourites The CourteenersGerry Cinnamon, and Two Door Cinema Club, as well as British rappers AitchSlowthaiD-Block Europe, and Lady Leshurr.

Elsewhere, headlining the BBC Radio 1 Stage are Sam FenderRex Orange County and AJ Tracey, while Denzel CurryDanny Brown and M Huncho, and MKSolardo and Wilkinson, take highest billing for the rap-focused BBC Radio 1Xtra Stage and BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage respectively.

How do I get tickets?

Tickets and accommodation to Reading and Leeds are not currently on sale on Festicket, but are available from each festival's official website. You can subscribe to our Reading and Leeds 2020 Mailing Lists below to keep up to date with all festival news, including information on if and when tickets will be available via Festicket.

How do I get to each festival?

For Reading Festival:

If you’re coming from central London, direct trains run to Reading from London Paddington every 10 minutes. It’s a half-hour journey.

Shuttle buses will be available between both Reading train station and the town centre to the festival site.

For those driving, there will be clear signposts to the various car parks or drop-off points as you approach the festival site. Parking tickets cost £10 in advance, and £20 on the gate.

For Leeds Festival:

The festival will be operating shuttle services from Leeds Station and near to the bus and coach station on St. Peter Street.

Are there any age restrictions?

All ages are welcome at both festivals, but anyone 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult. Under 13s get in free but, again, must be accompanied by an adult.

Are there any glamping options?

There are of course many who are quite happy, or even relish, the main campsites and all the debauchery that comes with those. But then there are others who fancy a bit more luxury. Luckily for those, Reading and Leeds also offer a range of more "comfortable" camping and glamping options, from a Camping Plus area with nicer facilities up to Pod Pads and passes for those wanting to bring their campervan or caravan.

Can I take alcohol into Reading and Leeds Festivals?

Festival-goers are allowed to take alcohol for personal consumption into the campsite, however, no alcohol will be allowed to be taken into the arena. Alcohol will be available from the many bars inside the arena.

Can I take food in?

Festival-goers can take food for personal consumption into both the campsite and arena. There will though be a range of food vendors serving up a variety of cuisines across the campsite and main arena. 

Are there any showers?

Showers are available at both festivals, however you should expect to queue for these, particularly at peak times.
