Many festivals might claim to be multi-genre but will often feature very few acts from the worlds of hip-hop, RnB, rap and other urban genres. Here's our rundown of the European festivals that put these sounds at the forefront, or feature them heavily amongst the mix.
Paris Summer Jam
Headliners (2018): Kendrick Lamar, N.E.R.D, Brockhampton
An entirely new festival taking place in the default capital of European hip-hop, this day event takes place in the western suburbs of the city at the newly built U-Arena.
Managing to secure Kendrick for the maiden voyage is quite the coup, so it appears this will be a mainstay for years to come.

Forbidden Fruit Festival

Paris Hip Hop Festival
Headliners: Dosseh, Jay Prince, Laylow, Fanny Polly, Paradox-Sal, Jojo Skrazzy, Mel Woods & Ichiro, By Sixtion
An incredible gathering of almost 400 artists with a broad programme that includes African artists, workshops, exhibitions, films, graffiti jams and block parties.

Hip Hop Kemp

Taking place in a small Czech town, Hip Hop Kemp goes easy on your wallet but offers premium sounds over three days. Highlights include a basketball court, skate ramps, bungee jumping and the chance to swim in a lake.
