Just over two weeks from now, Airbeat One Festival 2017 will be lighting the fuse and cranking up the volume, in celebration of reaching 15 years since its very first edition.
But ok, you got me: this article's headline is a tiny bit misleading, since the official aftermovies only take us back as far as 2009. In my defence, though, some of the fashion on display in those early ones makes it seem like a lot longer ago.
So let's take a step back into the late 2000s, where a growing festival was putting Neustadt-Glewe on the map, and was well on its way to becoming one of the biggest dance music festivals on the continent.

The most impressive main stage yet makes for a film-maker's dream, as fireworks envelope the semi-colosseum.
And so to last summer, and confirmation that Airbeat One has established itself as one of the biggest house, EDM and hardstyle players in Europe. It seems to have nailed the art of capturing a festival in film, as well.
