A shining light amongst the current darkness is the return of European favourite EXIT Festival next month. The Serbian festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a slimmed down lineup that includes some of dance music's finest names on 13th - 16th August.
Ahead of its return, we picked out five mixes from those on the lineup to get you rave-ready.
The last few years have seen Amelie Lens soar to the top of the techno scene. The Belgian DJ is known to pack her weekends full of sets across Europe, and has acquired quite possibly the genre's most loyal and passionate fanbase.
Unfortunately she isn't able to jet around the continent at the moment, but that didn't stop her heading up to Amsterdam to perform a special lockdown set inside an empty Gashouder for Awakenings Online Weekender last month.
Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann is one of the most prominent purveyors of techno. He now leads from the front, consistently seeking to innovate electronic music and in doing so inspiring a long list of others to follow.
Last year he played at similarly trend-setting festival Dekmantel, and didn't disappoint.
Now synonymous with Ibiza, the Balearic island mainstay Maceo Plex is a longtime performer at the island's best clubs, including a residency at Pacha where he showcased his Mosaic by Maceo club night.
Now a hugely influential figure in the tech-house scene, he returns to EXIT for the third year running.
The charismatic and alluring Nina Kraviz is a leader and trendsetter in today's electronic music. No stranger to EXIT Festival, the Russian-born DJ has played the festival three times, including an incredible closing set on the legendary mts Dance Arena. Her return next month is eagerly anticipated.
Former winner of the Breakthrough DJ of the Year award at the DJ Awards, South African superstar Black Coffee is now one of the foremost purveyors of house music, taking inspiration from his African heritage to influence his now distinctive sound.
Although he has been on the scene for over 10 years and has racked up five studio albums, numerous singles and one DVD release, his meteoric rise and global popularity is best illustrated by numerous performances that have taken him to almost 20 countries across five different continents.
