Festival Flashback: Arctic Monkeys, Glastonbury 2007


Long before the sci-fi inspired musings of 2018's Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino, the crooning, and the sharp-dress sense, Arctic Monkeys made a name for themselves based on witty observations of society's mundanities and an uncanny knack of writing catchy riffs.

After winning the Mercury Prize award for their triumphant debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, this saw them elevated to the pinnacle of festival slots, headlining Glastonbury in 2007.

Safe to say, they killed it, firmly announcing themselves as worthy headliners of the Worthy Farm festival. 

With a rumoured third headline appearance beckoning next summer, let's remind ourselves of the first time around:
