King's Day is the Netherland's biggest celebration of the year. On April 27th, in honour of King Willem-Alexander's birthday, the whole country takes the day off work, dresses up in the national colour of orange and hits the streets.
To mark the occasion, a number of killer music festivals have sprung up across the country, because nothing says "I'm happy my king was born" like dancing to your favourite beats well into the night.
To make sure things are fair to everyone, all King's Day festivals go on sale at the same time. This year the date is Thursday, 9 February. However, all this choice at once can be a little overwhelming, so we decided to put together a rundown of all our King's Day options.
