The Virtual Festivals and Livestream Concerts to Soundtrack Your Quarantine

With several artists having to postpone forthcoming tours, and the likes of SXSW, Ultra Music Festival and Glastonbury sadly cancelled for this year, people are being forced to get creative.

Making the most of the connectedness of the world right now, despite the need for many of us to be indoors and seemingly isolate, several artists, DJs, labels, festival, and organisations are taking to livestreams to stay engaged with fans and encourage a sense of communal spirit.

Below is a collection of those, which will be updated as and when more are announced. Enjoy.

Sofa Festival (2-3 April)

"Warner Music France has joined forces with the Fondation des Hôpitaux de Paris-Hôpitaux de France, to fight Covid-19". Featuring sets from the likes of HollySiz, Lenni-kim, Her Demons, Alvan and more. Full details here.

United We Stream: Berlin (Daily)

A selection of the city's most famous clubs – including Watergate, Griessmuehle, and Tresor – are taking it in turns to host nightly streams featuring an array of underground electronic music talent. See the full schedule here.

Christine and the Queens (Daily)

The French pop superstar will be streaming nightly shows from Ferber studio in France, every day at 6pm CET / 5pm GMT on her Instagram; promising "guests and weird concepts" to "deal with the ENNUI".

Death Cab For Cutie (Daily)

Lead vocalist and guitarist Ben Gibbard has started a daily 'Live From Home' stream, on YouTube and Facebook, kicking off each day at 4pm PST / 11pm GMT.



The duo are offering up an everchanging daily stream – from solo DJ sets, to hybrid performances from both of them – all over on their Facebook at 1pm EST / 5pm GMT.

The man Resident Advisor called 'Holland's hardest-working DJ' is being predictably productive, with a series of his 'Benny Mancave Livestream' sets – for those with a penchant for house music (no pun intended).

Diplo (Daily)

Another one for dance music fans, Diplo is hosting an ongoing series of livestreams covering music from his many tastes and various guises: "While we’re all in self-imposed quarantine and I’m grounded from playing shows I am going to get creative and make up random sets and shows live from my house".

Sofar Sound Listening Room (30 March - 6 April)

"As shows around the world are on pause, it’s more important than ever to support the artists and acts we love. Tune in every night as artists host live shows in our online listening room, a space for artists to connect with global audiences. Time Warp will be running a re-stream event together with ARTE Concert. Starting at midnight CET on Saturday 4th April the broadcast will feature some of their favourite recorded Time Warp sets for 15 hours straight, including a special unreleased set.

Ultra Virtual Audio Festival

With the flagship festival in Miami cancelled for this year, the team behind Ultra Music Festival – one of the biggest electronic music events in the world – announced that they would be hosting a 'Virtual Audio Festival' in its place, broadcast live on SiriusXM from Friday 20th - Monday 23rd March). Some of the artists, including Armin van Buuren, have uploaded their respective sets to YouTube since then.


Beyond Wonderland Virtual Rave-A-Thon

Sets from the likes of JOYRYDE, Svdden Death, Jack Beats, and Kill the Noise are available to watch in full on YouTube.

British Music Embassy Sessions

To make up for the BME showcases that didn't go ahead due to the cancellation of SXSW, the British Music Embassy teamed up with BBC music introducing and a handful of industry partners to put on a special series of sessions with some of the artists that were due to perform – clips from each are available to watch now on YouTube.



The garage Godfather played a mammoth 24-hour set over the weekend in solidarity with frontline workers.

Taking on the baton from Chris Martin, as part of his performance John Legend also suggested that we could expect future sessions from the likes of Miguel, Jhené Aiko, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, and Charlie Puth in the near future.
