Tired, dishevelled, dehydrated, uninspired are a handful of adjectives you could use to describe our team of Festicket writers this very Friday. A royal skinful at our Annual General Meeting last night has somewhat stilted our momentum (i.e. any sort of drive to actually work today), dampening the fire in our creative bellies.
Alas, what is inspired, however, is our weekly roundup of the best, most brilliant, most bodacious new music releases to hit the airwaves.
Pop-punk powerhouse Green Day return with the second single from their impending album, ramping up anticipation for headline slots at Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, and Rock For People in amidst their Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer next year. We're also pleased to hear the return of Dan Snaith's Caribou moniker, heartbreaking musings from Big Thief, and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets who use the same ingenuity naming their tracks as they do their own band.
Though we couldn't quite muster the strength to write about our individual faves, we're hoping the playlist will whet your appetite until next week we're sure to be fighting fit once again. Stay tuned!
