The legendary Earth, Wind & Fire have been confirmed as the first headliners for Love Supreme Jazz Festival 2018.
It is their first confirmed live date outside of the US this year, and will see them headline the Sunday night at this year's festival.
Founded in 1970, Earth, Wind & Fire have gone onto become one of the most successful and influential bands in recent decades, fusing together R&B, soul, funk, jazz, disco, pop, rock and more into an infectious mix that has made them one of the most in-demand live acts around.
Six Grammy Awards, over 100 million record sales, an inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a string of hits – September, Boogie Wonderland and Lets Groove – to name just three, the impact they've had on popular culture is not to be underestimated.
On the announcement, Love Supreme Director Ciro Romano said: "We've been coveting Earth, Wind & Fire since the festival's inception. They're a phenomenal live act with an incredible back catalogue of songs and we know they'll be a massive hit with the Love Supreme audience.
"Having sold over 100 million records across the course of their career they are also the biggest act we've booked for the festival to date and will provide a fitting finale to this year's event."
Inspired by the great European jazz festivals such as North Sea Jazz and The Montreux Jazz Festival, Love Supreme brings this unique spirit to the UK and combines it with the camping culture of the likes of Latitude and Bestival, resulting in a festival that includes on-point lineups but also a host of extra activities to get involved in.
Love Supreme Jazz Festival will take place on 29 June – 1 July 2018. Find out more on our guide, and book your tickets and accommodation to this year's festival here.
