The Killers, Kings of Leon and Faith No More Announced as Mad Cool Festival Headliners

Mad Cool Festival 2020

After the ongoing announcements of the last few weeks, starting with the news that pop icons Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish would be performing at the festival, and including the likes of alt-J, Pixies, twenty one pilots, Foals and London Grammar, Mad Cool Festival have now revealed two major headliners for the 2020 edition: The Killers and Kings of Leon

They are two alternative rock bands that have similar stories and career trajectories. Both came from the south of the USA – Nevada and Tennessee respectively. Both emerged onto the scene early in the new millennium. Both have since gone on to garner enormous global fanbases, regularly playing shows to thousands of adoring fans and becoming undeniably two of the biggest bands in the world. And now both will head to Madrid next summer to top the bill at the next instalment of the hugely popular festival.

UPDATE: Legendary Californian alt-metallers Faith No More have also been confirmed as headliners for the festival, as part of their recently announced run of shows across the summer 2020, marking their first live shows in more than five years. They will headline the closing day of the festival, 11th July, with The Killers and Kings of Leon topping the bill on the 9th and 10th respectively.

The announcement also came after the first string of electronic music acts had been confirmed, including Diplo, Major Lazer, Modeselektor and Octo Octa – with Four Tet and Anderson .Paak also among the latest additions. See our guide for the full lineup so far, including daysplits, and for more information about the festival.
