Monegros Desert Festival Announce First Names for Long-Awaited Return

Monegros Desert Festival 2020

The first four names have been revealed for Monegros Desert Festival, one of the most famous and revered dance music festivals in Spain, which returns in 2020 for the first time in more than five years.

Leading the first announcement are minimal techno veteran Richie Hawtin and German fan-favourite Paul Kalkbrenner, both veterans of Monegros in years gone by.

They are joined by a fellow techno superstar, and someone who has had a spectacular breakthrough in recent years, Amelie Lens, making her debut at the festival's 21st edition.

Elsewhere, the organisers expand their musical and draw from Spain's vibrant hip hop scene, inviting hugely successful duo Natos y Waor to perform alongside the electronic music stalwarts.

These are just the first four of more than 60 artists to be confirmed, so watch this space for more announcements in the coming weeks and months.
