With 2020 cancelled, Spanish alt giant Primavera Sound have given all of us who are missing live music some welcome news, releasing their 2021 lineup today. In typical fashion the bill is a heady mix of indie darlings, world-beating alt acts, progressive hip hop MCs, dance floor guru DJs, and more.
Thankfully the much buzzed Pavement reunion, which was to take place at the 2020 edition, will still go ahead. Joining them atop the bill are Gorillaz, Tame Impala, The Strokes, and Tyler, The Creator.
In the electronic music realm, acts like Caribou, Nina Kraviz, Autechre, Jamie xx, Disclosure, DJ Harvey, Jeff Mills, Honey Dijon and Amelie Lens lead the way, with many more acts to still be announced.
Of course guitar music has always been a mainstay at the festival, and this year is no different with Iggy Pop, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, DIIV, The National, IDLES, and The Jesus and Mary Chain are some of the highlights on the lineup.
