Following the recent news that Californian metal veterans System of a Down will headline VOA Heavy Rock Festival next summer as part of their European tour, the festival organisers have added two more fan-favourites to the lineup for the forthcoming edition, held in Lisbon on 2-3 July 2020.
Nu-metal pioneers Korn follow the recent release of their thirteenth studio album The Nothing with a string of European festival appearances, taking in shows at Download Festival in the UK and Germany's twin festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in addition to their Portuguese show at VOA on Thursday 2 July (the same day as System of a Down).
Also announced, for Friday 3 July, are hugely popular metalcore five-piece Bring Me the Horizon. One of the most commercially successful bands to come out of the UK's metal scene in the last decade or so, their latest album charted at number one in both their home country and Australia, as well as enjoying success across Europe.
With only three acts announced so far, it's already looking like VOA Heavy Rock Fest could be one of the summer's strongest offerings for rock and metal fans.
