Pleinvrees Festival is an electronic music festival in Amsterdam.
Since the debut outing seven years ago, the festival has welcomed a host of global stars – including the likes of Kölsch, Gui Boratto, andhim, Fritz Kalkbrenner and Hot Since 82.
The music on offer is a reflection of the feel-good ethos, with melodic house serving as the soundtrack to the festival which prides itself on a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
The festival also prides itself on its environmental and ecological conscience, seeking to minimise its carbon footprint by reducing plastic waste and serving only vegetarian food.
Het Twiske is a large scenic park to the north of Amsterdam, home to a lake and nature reserve.
BY PLANE: The nearest airport to the city is Amsterdam Schiphol, and is only a 15 minute train journey away from Amsterdam's main station. Moreover, Schiphol station is directly underneath the airport so access is easy and convenient.
BY TRAIN: There are many trains that run to Amsterdam throughout Europe. From Amsterdam Central Station, take the 392 bus to Oostzaan (a short walk from the festival site).
