Solar Weekend is an energy-rich music festival set amongst the Netherlands' Maasplassen lakes and waterways. With an eclectic mix of sounds to enjoy, it offers everything from techno innovators to soul visionaries.
Each year, the lakeside setting is transformed into a creative haven, with different tents, theatre shows, fortune tellers, games and activities accompanied by giant beach inflatables. The immersive creativity ebbs from every crevice and festival-goers are encouraged to bring their bright and colourful selves to add to the ethos.
Previous names to play in the sun include Fedde le Grand, Adam Beyer, Boris Brejcha, Tony Junior, Monika Kruse, Carl Craig, Nicole Moudaber, Len Faki, Benny Rodrigues, Don Diablo, Moksi, Joris Voorn, Chocolate Puma and many more.
Maasplassen is an idyllic and expansive system of lakes, rivers and canals that envelopes the landscape near to the German and Belgian borders. It is a stunning backdrop to the festival's eclectic mix of music and stages.
Eindhoven Airport is very close to the festival site, though Amsterdam Schiphol is larger and served by more destinations.

You can also get a direct train to Roermond from Amsterdam Schiphol.
You can also reach Roermond via rail, however, many services will run via Eindhoven or Dusseldorf and may require a bus for the last part of the journey.
