Northern Europe's wildest beach jam
Solar Weekend is an multi-genre electronic music festival in Roermond, Netherlands. Taking place on the Noorderplas, the festival is an all out beach party with everything from water sports to party tents, from theatre shows to fortune tellers.
But of course the music program is really where Solar Weekend shines. A lineup of party starters covering a wide range of sounds is spread across seven stages, offering a little something for everyone.
With water guns, inflatables, confetti and lasers, this is every child-at-heart's dream weekend.
This year's lineup hasn't been announced yet but the 2017 edition featured Dubfire, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Booka Shade and more.
Maasplassen is an idyllic and expansive system of lakes, rivers and canals that envelopes the landscape near to the German and Belgian borders. It is a stunning backdrop to the festival's eclectic mix of music and stages.
