Formerly Optimus Alive, NOS Alive is born into 2015, taking the reigns of Portugal's leading music festival, known the world over for its eclectic lineup, sunny weather and picturesque setting.

Set on its capital's coastline, NOS Alive will feature the likes of Muse, alt-J and James Blake just a stones throw away from Lisbon's historical landmarks and buzzing nightlife.

With some of Europe's best beaches and surfing spots just 10 minutes away, NOS Alive plays by the mantra: "beach by day, music by night", opening its bill at 6pm each evening, but running until 6am the next day for the ravers.

Europe's second-oldest capital, Lisbon, is a coastal city meaning many festival-goers take advantage of the sandy beaches to relax or surf before heading to the festival.

The city itself is also full of cultural wonders including one of the world's largest aquariums as well as being home to one of the greatest natural harbours.
