Ultra Europe 2019: Everything You Need To Know

Ultra Europe 2021

Ultra Europe 2021

Split, Croácia

With Ultra Europe now just a matter of days away (this year's edition will be 11-18 July), here's everything you need to know to make the most of your Ultra experience.

How do I get to Ultra Europe 2019 if I haven't booked an airport transfer?

BY PLANE: Split Airport is an international airport, and is located west of the city. The journey along the coast from the airport should take around 30 minutes by bus.

BY TRAIN: Split train station is located in the centre of the city. If you plan to travel by train, you will most likely need to initially travel to Zagreb, and then catch a connecting service onto Split, which will take between 6-9 hours.

How do I get from my accommodation to the festival?

The festival will be running a shuttle bus service between the festival's main venue and accommodation zones. This means you will have easy and reliable transport between the party and your bed. Tickets for these can be booked in advance.

If you've booked tickets for any of the events on Hvar or Vis, you will need to get there by catamaran.

Who's playing?

If you're into EDM, then you'll be in heaven, partying with Swedish House Mafia, Daid Guetta, Afrojack, The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake; I could go on.

That said, there's also a tonne of other electronic styles to feast on, including house and techno with Carl Cox, Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer and more. View the full lineup on our guide.

What parties are there away from the main stage?

Although Ultra's main stage shows are epic, there are a bunch of other parties to enjoy throughout the week. These include Ultra Beach which takes place on the beautiful island of Hvar, and Ultra Regatta, which takes place inside CLUB 585 on the heavenly island of Brač.

And if you're a true raver, the Destination Ultra Ticket will get you into all those events, as well as the Resistance opening and closing parties in Split and Vis; the ticket for the ultimate Ultra experience.

Amongst all of these there will also be a variety of satellite events cropping up across Split, including some boat parties. Keep an eye out for those.

What else should I get up to while I'm in Split?

Filled with charming cafés, restaurants, bars, culture, and surrounded by some of the most picturesque islands in the world, Split is well worth exploring if you have a moment away from the festival.

Back in 2016 we caught up with the team behind the festival to find out the best beaches, places to eat, drink and see in the Croatian town. You can read their full recommendations here

What currency do I need?

The Croatian Kuna, not the Euro! Even though some places may accept Euros, this is not general practice.

Can I still buy tickets?

Limited tickets and accommodation options are still available for Ultra Europe 2019, however, you'll need to act fast.
