Two days, three nights, six stages and almost 150 hours of music: DGTL Festival does wired-up creativity on an industrial scale.
With 2016's edition just around the corner, we turned to the peerless Adana Twins to help us pick our way through the forest of electronic music awaiting us.
So if you're unsure what to get excited about, sit back with Adana Twins' five favourite artists from this year's lineup, plus an up-and-comer to watch out for and a look ahead to their own set on the Audio Stage on Sunday 27 March.
Who are your 5 favourite artists from the DGTL Festival lineup?
01 Prins Thomas b2b Gerd Janson
We're huge fans of Prins Thomas' Disco sound and every time we see Gerd Janson play he smashes it. Both of them together can only be great. Really looking forward to this one.
02 Cinnaman & Job Jobse
We'd like to see the local heroes Cinnaman and Job Jobse because we missed them last time at Trouw. A lot of really nice stuff is coming from Amsterdam these days.
It’s a shame I know, but we've never seen Âme play – no matter if DJ or Live… So we can finally do this and I am sure it will be as great as all of their productions.
For years, Makam's tunes have been a part of our set. He just knows how to destroy the dancefloor with his tracks. No question… we have to see him!
05 Cyrilic aka KiNK
We're always happy to see KiNK live – also under his new moniker Cyrilic. I remember last time he played after us, Rampa said about him: "Every producer should be like him, he is a real artist". So true!
Can you pick out one up-and-coming artist we should look out for?
We have been playing releases from Makam since 2012. He never ceases to surprise us. We can't wait to finally see him play!
Anything you can tell us about your own set at this year's festival?
We will definitely play D-Nox & Beckers. An emotional, trancey ride old Spaceship. It is the perfect close to a set. We can’t wait to play it for the third time at DGTL. Amsterdam festivals are always amazing… I mean, look at the lineup for this weekend!
